Through subway cars and streets
I- Why do you like posing nude for photography?
Among the many sides of nude photography, I think it’s a tool for cultural change. Beyond serving artistic contemplation, it plants in people’s minds the idea that the body is there, beneath all those layers you wear in winter or the light clothes of summer.

We need to show more everyday nudes where the human figure is seen as it is, especially the female one, which has been hidden until it breeds lewdness, or advertised until it becomes an object of consumption or male pleasure. To normalize seeing a shoulder, a breast, a navel or a leg so much, visually, that it isn’t considered merely a provocation.
II- But in the photos you don’t appear completely naked. Why is that?
Well, Pralad suggested we do a session with harnesses and I liked the idea, because it’s a garment I identify with for its eroticism and I love wearing it. Although they have a sexual connotation, they can also be worn as accessories over everyday clothes, so they boost the urban touch of the photo and create that symbolic reading of the body under the rags.

III- To finish, how was the experience in this session?
Before, it was exciting: from the invitation to take part in the Espacios Vacíos project, to knowing I’d have to get up early with massive dark circles on a Sunday to make the most of the empty streets; an adrenaline rush as we moved through the subway cars and the streets hoping nobody would report us for offending public morals and decency;
and even though not everything was prepared! hahaha, very professional and determined within the improvisation of the moment.
