Here I am, I exist
Daring to take up space, to expand.
I discovered Pralad’s photography a while ago. I was fascinated by a photo of a group of women among the roots of a tree, and I started following him. The raw, open way of showing the body, yet delicate at the same time, seeing what isn’t seen, raising nudity to a dimension different from the sexual: I loved it.
At a moment in History when almost everything is, or can be, digital, having a moment for the real and the concrete is a gift. To be in the present, without pre-occupying yourself.
Remedying an excess of mind and a lack of body. As a viewer of his photography, through surprise and observation; as a model, through the senses and surrender.
It was a wonderful day. Walking, being in nature, bathing in the river. And for the photos, daring to take up space, to expand. Saying “Here I am, I exist”.
Setting aside the excess of thinking for a moment.

The first time I wrote to Pralad was in May 2020. By October of that year I had decided to pose, but life got in the way until December 2021, when he called for a collective nude. Until finally it was my turn.

I feel happy.
And I feel I found myself, and a friend too.
………………………
In my case, I have no problem showing my body.
I accept it as it is.
