Why do we do this?
Maybe to remember that these spaces are as much yours as ours. Maybe because the prohibitions and limitations imposed by others make no sense to us when it comes to our own bodies. Maybe because we don’t see in the naked body that sexualized object that is only useful to you for selling, and useless to you when it’s free. Maybe because the day I can walk my body through the city without your look of horror, your nervous giggle or your simple discomfort, I’ll feel whole.
