But the water flows

I feel that something inside me has emptied, as if the weight of the past had overflowed into silences. But the water flows, always moving, always renewing itself. In its flow I find the promise of a new beginning, the certainty that everything that no longer belongs to me will go with the current. I let it cleanse me, fill me with clarity, open space for light. Because I know that on the other side of this shore a purer, lighter present awaits me, ready to be lived with an awakened soul.

The water is icy, cutting, but it purifies. I feel it brush my skin, making me shiver, waking me up, sliding between the stones until it disappears into the distance. I tremble, but not from fear, from renewal. I know that when the cold fades, when the water finishes its work, only the essential will remain: a luminous present, ready to be inhabited with an auspicious future.
