I began by shedding my shame
I began by shedding my shame…
…little by little I was acting without modesty. Letting go of fear was perhaps the hardest part; that’s how I understood that by baring my body I was also baring my mind.

And there was Pralad, shooting his camera, while I closed my eyes to blend into my surroundings, feeling part of a whole, a nature that showed me my vulnerability and my strengths in the same second, feeling in me that strength and desire to be part of the earth.

The structures of the urbanized city invaded us, representing the order of society, an order I’ve spent a long time trying to escape. But this time I was part of it, blending into the bridges, the streets and a building that in particular took me back to my childhood, a building whose fire I heard about many times in my dad’s voice.
And so I felt I was in a familiar place, even though it was the first time I’d been there. I observed its architecture from a palpable distance, understanding its immensity up close. My passion for architecture made me live this part of the session with a certain magic, which vanished quickly when we saw the security guard approaching us.
*“*You can’t take photos of the building”, he told us.
I quickly put back on the modesty I had left lying on the ground, and walked away with my shame half-dressed.

All that was left was to thank Pralad for this incredible experience, which without a doubt led me to discover a part of me I had hidden very deep inside.
