Things you can’t do, ask for, think or imagine. Things that, since we were little, limited who we could be…
In every one of these photos I was afraid of how people around us might react, of how a woman showing the vulnerability of her naked body could feel utterly intimidated. But that’s not what happened. Instead we saw that it was the people who felt intimidated by the empowered body of a naked woman. And today I understand the street differently: a place where I can do the things they told me not to do…
I want to thank each of the women who appear in this post. If for many it’s unimaginable that these photos are real, for me it was unimaginable that someone would believe in me enough to make them real. I also want to thank those who aren’t here and who gave themselves so freely to my camera, those who gave me those first emotions.
